FA Guidance - Missile Throwing

The Football Association has written to all Clubs in the Premier, Football and Conference Leagues to remind them of guidance that exists in taking appropriate measures to provide a safe environment for players, spectators and match officials.

Under FA Rules, Clubs are responsible for providing an appropriate environment and for encouraging the good behaviour of supporters of both teams attending a particular fixture.

The information, originally circulated several years ago, comes in the wake of an incident that was shown on live television when a player was struck by a coin.  The circular has been sent to the Secretaries and Safety Officers of all Clubs listed above.

A copy of the letter is available on our forum for members to download.
