Badly hurt player waits over two hours for helpJohn Newsham
A non-league football player who sustained a serious shoulder injury was left waiting two and a half hours for an ambulance.
Truro City’s Michaël Hervé was hurt on Saturday in the National League South game against Concord Rangers in Essex. The match was abandoned.
The ambulance service said the long wait was due to a shoulder injury being a category three incident. But a later call, due to increased pain, moved it to category two, and help then arrived within 40 minutes.
