It’s Not Only Football..and Not Only In England
Following my report on the alleged fracas between Liverpool and Man City fans in London, unbelievable footage has emerged following a Rugby League match between Catalan Dragons and Warrington which took place on Sunday.
The game was apparently bad enough tempered on the field and this spilled over onto the seating decks as the match drew to a close. As a veteran of many Rugby League matches including one when Hull KR played in Perpignan one time when I was on holiday there, you very rarely see scenes of this nature at what is one of the most friendly sports around. But the videos shows Wire fans fighting with Dragons fans in box seats above the away end and maybe even in the press tribunes.
Both sets of fans are extremely passionate about their Clubs but scenes like these are unjustified in any sport.
