MEI UK Summit Conference – Postponed!

I have today been advised by Major Events International that the proposed conference at Emirates Old Trafford (Lancashire Cricket) on 15 December 2021 has been deferred.

Readers of our Newsletter will be aware that the SGSA were intending to present at the Conference and we recommended you should attend to support it.

This is what Andy Rice told me this morning:

It is with great regret that, in light of last night’s news from No. 10 that we are moving to Plan B, we are forced to postpone the UK Events Summit, planned for next Wednesday.

We are incredibly sorry if this causes you any personal inconvenience or expense.

We would like to thank you for the resilience you have shown up to now in our shared hope that we could make this happen. We were all planning for the best and desperately hoping that Omicron pressure would not grow. Despite best endeavours in the face of too many variables, we feel it is now prudent to push the event back to the New Year.

We have a new date: 2nd March 2022 and Lancs. CCC (Emirates) have already been fantastic in supporting our decision and the postponement.

So please put this date in your new 2022 diaries now and we’ll make it happen – even bigger and better than originally planned.

We look forward to seeing you in March.

If you know that you cannot join us, please let me know and we can discuss alternative options.

If it is not too deeply ironic, let me take this opportunity to wish you a safe and festive Christmas. The New Year can only be better!

Kind regards,

Andy Rice
