SHOWSEC PARTNERS WITH SKILLS FOR SECURITY
Building on the legacy of the UK’s historic summer, delivering crowd management across momentous events including BT London Live and the Diamond Jubilee, Showsec is now working with Skills for Security to establish the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for event security.
Showsec managing director Mark Harding is chairing the proceedings on behalf of the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association (UKCMA), working with Skills for Security to improve NOS which will benefit all areas of the security industry including football stewarding and stadia events. Mark has engaged FSOA company secretary and honorary treasurer Peter Houghton as part of the Advisory Committee.
Mark Harding comments:
“Showsec has always been at the forefront of setting the highest standards for event security and we’re proud to be working with other industry partners in particular the FSOA to share our knowledge and experience. We’re looking forward to working with Skills for Security, who will be consulting with many experts across the security industry including football safety officers.
