Will It Ever End?Peter Houghton
It seems that never a week passes by without another abundance of stories of racism raising its ugly head. Following the well-documented debacle in Bulgaria last week, where it was clear that despite UEFA’s directives, they themselves seem reluctant to deploy any real sanctions that don’t involve swelling the Nyon Exchequer, it took a lowly National League club, Haringey Brough FC to take decisive action by leaving the field of play.
Stories abound of the Haringey goalkeeper, Pajetat, being spat at, verbally abused and having a bottle thrown at him by 2 Yeovil Town supporters, who have since been detained by Police.
The attached article was on the internet, but there was a much better one in print in today’s Daily Mirror.
